"There's something in your eyes that scares me,"
Max whispired, looking through the window.
Landon took her face into his hand and made her look into his eyes "What?" he asked. "What do you see?"
"Fear," she answered plainly. "I see fear"

Feeling after finishing: Awh, pure happiness!
Shawn Maravel has become one of my favorite authors, The Wanderer..she did not disappoint! The Wanderer follows Landon Bradley, Landon has just finished his time in the military, he doesn't have family, and has never known what it feels like to call a place home or to settle with anyone long enough for them to get close to him. Now that he is out of the military his plan is to travel around and go where ever the open road takes him.
While cruising along one day on his motorcycle , he crashes and ruins his bike, he is now going to have to stay in this small Wyoming town till his bike is up and running for the road again, he expects this is going to be along wait...he doesn't expect Maxine also known as Max, Max is different, Landon can't understand what it is about her, all he knows is she gets to him, like no girl ever has.
By the time Landon realizes what it is he feels for Max...it may be too late.
The Wanderer was amazing! I'm just gonna flat out say it was incredible. The characters are so real, the emotions are so raw. I am not much of a cryer in books, but this book still got me choked up, twice! Landon and Maxine both have gone threw alot of lost in their lives, and threw out the story you really get to know each of them and see there development threw their lost. This story had a wonderful romance, and wonderful character development. I loved Shawns Volition series, but I gotta say with The Wanderer she completly out did herself! I read this book in one sitting! I couldn't put it down if my life depended on it!
To make a long story short I really loved this book, the characters are so likeable, the romance is amazing, everything is wonderful, if you have not yet picked up any of Shawns books, pick up The Wanderer, you will not be disappointed (:

Blurb
After getting out of the Army, Landon Bradley packs up his motorcycle and heads North West in hopes of closing up old battle wounds and maybe even settling down. Not accustomed to staying in one spot for too long, he's not certain that he'll ever find a place that he can truly call home. When he finds himself stranded in a small Wyoming town, Landon meets Maxine Abrams, more affectionately known as Max. Her blunt honesty and humble generosity make him feel closer to home then he ever has before. But when his feelings for her grow too strong, the reality that, like everyone else, he could easily lose her too, Landon feels the ever present urge to leave again. And Landon must decide which call to heed. His heart or the open road.
