Hey everyone! Today we have a interview with Nilsa Rodriguez the author of The Rising Moon! This interview is to go along with the amazing blog tour happening from September 1-21, go to this blog tomorrow to see a character interview! Thank you Nilsa for joining us today!
Favorite Animal?
Raven & wolf, but if I had to choose, I would go with the Raven. Why? Well because I’ve always been fascinated with birds. When I was younger I used to think how cool it would be if we could fly.
Favorite Food?
I love Caribbean food. I never get tired of eating a good plate of rice and beans. I’m Puerto Rican after all.
If you could describe yourself in three words, what words would you use?
Outgoing, friendly, and I’m a good listener.
Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
I love to travel. My favorite place to visit is Egypt. I’ve been there four times and I will be going back in December. I love watching movies as much as I love reading books. I’m a hopeless romantic and a sucker for tearjerkers, but I’m also known as the Queen of Horror, among my closest family and friends because I love watching horror movies and I’m not afraid to watch them alone in the dark!
What brought you to the paranormal genre?
Like I mentioned in the previous question, I’m a sucker for romance but yet I love horror, so Paranormal Romance seemed the right choice of genre for my debut novel.
How did the story idea of The Rising Moon come to you?
The story idea came to me four years ago while I was a student. It was actually part of my final writing project. The project was to write a synopsis to a story I would like to write. As I wrote the project, I fell in love with the characters and the legend of the Lobison and decided to make it into a full novel. Just like the quote from Toni Morrison, “If there’s a book you really want to read, but it hasn’t been written yet, then you must write it.” And so I did.
What was the hardest part of writing your upcoming novel The Rising Moon?
The ending was the hardest part to write. In fact, it took me about four months to write the last 4000 words! Not because I didn’t know what to write, but because I guess, I didn’t want to say goodbye to the characters that I have grown to love for the past four years.
What are you most looking forward to as the days get closer to the release of your novel The Rising Moon in September?
I’m looking forward to the blog tour. I’m very excited about meeting my readers.
I love the cover of The Rising Moon did you have a lot of say on how it turned out?
Yes. The cover design was made by a wonderful artist named Barbara Neal. I told her what I wanted on the cover and it was as if she instantly knew what I envisioned to be the cover of The Rising Moon. I’m too am very pleased with the cover.
If your book The Rising Moon were being made into a movie, who would you cast for the leading role?
Angelia Lafosse-Deborah Ann Woll
Ryan Woodruff- Eddie Spears
Lyle Ulric-Michael Trevino
Emiliana Lupe- Alexis Bledel
Adam Ambrose-Chris Hemsworth
Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your future readers?
I hope you enjoy reading The Rising Moon as much as I enjoyed writing it.
Thank you again Nilsa for taking the time to do an interview with us today! There will be a Twitter party for the blog tour on September 12th!!!! #TheRisingMoonNovel

Love dream casts and they're all great picks too! Though, I'm not very keen on Chris Hemsworth playing Adam. Awesome Interview ladies! <3
