BLURB
There’s always been something a bit off about Perry Palomino. Though she’s been dealing with a quarter-life crisis and post-college syndrome like any other twenty-something, she’s still not what you would call “ordinary.” For one thing, there’s her past which she likes to pretend never happened, and then there’s the fact that she sees ghosts. Luckily for her, that all comes in handy when she stumbles across Dex Foray, an eccentric producer for an upcoming webcast on ghost hunters. Even though the show’s budget is non-existent and Dex himself is a maddening enigma, Perry is instantly drawn into a world that both threatens her life and seduces her with a sense of importance. Her uncle’s haunted lighthouse provides the perfect catalyst and backdrop for a mystery that unravels the threads of Perry’s fragile sanity and causes her to fall for a man, who, like the most dangerous of ghosts, may not be all that he seems.

REVIEW
Darkhouse took a twist in the YA world! Karina Halle has written a book of thrill, mystery, fate, and complete creepiness ! Darkhouse kept me on my toes, and with a hopefully future romance coming between the main characters Perry and Dex, I cannot wait for book 2 in this great start to a new series!

Darkhouse follows Perry, who has had some rough patches in life, but feels she is finally getting back on track, her job is going great, her life is back in order, that is until she visits her uncles house for the weekend..on her uncles property there is a lighthouse, a lighthouse that he tells everyone to stay away from..one night while Perry is at a party on the beach she decides she wants to know what's up with this lighthouse, and once she gets there she runs into Dex..she thinks running into Dex was just a random run in..but as more and more weird things bring Dex and Perry together..maybe it wasn't such a random run in..

This book was great! It is one of the few books I have read where you really don't know what's going to happen next, it completley kept me on my toes! Not just the story, but the characters too, Perry and Dex both you really couldn't read them, espiecially Dex! He has that mysterious, cocky, yet scary factor that is well...pretty sexy!  I can't wait till I get to book two, book one ended just the way I wanted, giving me hope for Perry and Dex to further their relationship!

If your sick of the same ol same ol when it comes to YA/Paranormal books then I suggest picking up Darkhouse by Karina Halle!

*There is quite a bit of cussing, so I would recommend this to an older audience
