Hey book lovers!! Today I'm gonna start my favorite books of 2011 posts! Each day for the next week or so I will list my favorite books of 2011 in a certain topics (for example today will be vampire/werewolves/fairies) I will show TWO of my favorites for each different catagory! Then when I'm all done I'm gonna do my top 10 favorite out of all the books I read in 2011!

Ah Vampires, they are probably the most known in the paranormal world and one of the most popular. I for one am picky when it comes to my vampires books, so I knew right away when it came to my favorite...it had to be Descended by Blood by Angeline Kace, and Captivated by Deb Apodaca! Both of these books I would recommend to anyone looking for some amazing action, romance, suspense and all around epicness! I love both of these books immensely!
Ah werewolves, now werewolves are a little bit odd to me in books..I feel all the werewolf stories I read are either very bland and nothing special..or they are like The Dirty Blood Series, and the Nightshade Series and are totally awesome! Dirty Blood by Heather Hildenbrand and Nightshade by Andrea Cremer are both the firsts in their series and while the first books were amazing, the second books-Cold Blood (Dirty Blood#2) and Wolfsbane (Nightshade#2) were even better! If your looking for an amazing werewolf story, I wouldn't recommend any other books then Dirty Blood and Nightshade!
Fairies!!! AH! I love fairies...seriously my favorite paranormal ever! This was a hard one to pick for because I love basically any fae books I read, so to narrow it down just to TWO!? Killed me! I am happy to say though that my choices were The Iron King by Julie Kagawa (this is actually my favorite series) and Bridger by Megan Curd, both of these authors are amazing writers and these two books could not be an better then they are! I completely adore these two series (although I am still waiting for book two of Bridger) Hands down if you want an AWESOME fae book, these are the two you need to get!
