Life Eternal (Dead Beautiful #2)
By: Yvonne Woon
To be released: Feb 24th 2012
Description:
Renée Winters has changed. When she looks in the mirror, a beautiful girl with an older, sadder face stares back. Her condition has doctors mystified, but Renée can never reveal the truth: she died last May, and was brought back to life by the kiss of her Undead soul mate, Dante Berlin. Now, her separation from Dante becomes almost unbearable. His second life is close to an end, and each passing day means one less that she will spend with the boy who shares her soul.
Just when Renée has almost given up hope, she learns of the Nine Sisters-brilliant scholars who, according to legend, found a way to cheat death. She can't shake the feeling that they are somehow connected to her dreams, strange visions that hint at a discovery so powerful, and so dangerous, that some will stop at nothing to protect it.
Renée thought she knew the truth about life and death. But there is a secret woven through history that holds the only hope for Dante and Renée. Unless they find answers soon, their time together is doomed to be cut short.
My Thoughts?
Eh idk how I feel about the cover, I really like the snow and the white and blue, but I think I would like it more if it was more of a darker cover like the first book, I CANNOT wait for this to release (:

Hallowed (Unearthly #2)
To be released: Jan 24 2012
Description:
For months part-angel Clara Gardner trained to face the raging forest fire from her visions and rescue the alluring and mysterious Christian Prescott from the blaze. But nothing could prepare her for the fateful decisions she would be forced to make that day, or the startling revelation that her purpose—the task she was put on earth to accomplish—is not as straightforward as she thought. Now, torn between her increasingly complicated feelings for Christian and her love for her boyfriend, Tucker, Clara struggles to make sense of what she was supposed to do the day of the fire. And, as she is drawn further into the world of part angels and the growing conflict between White Wings and Black Wings, Clara learns of the terrifying new reality that she must face: Someone close to her will die in a matter of months. With her future uncertain, the only thing Clara knows for sure is that the fire was just the beginning. My Thoughts?
Ok, I for one LOVE the cover, I mean it's not supeerrrr amazing, but I like it much more than the first book Unearthly's cover. I love the lettering they use, it is crazy beautiful, I love the clouds in the back, I love her dress, BUT the thing I love the most is the model, the model one the first book to me didnt look anything like Clara but this girl screams Clara, Idk if its just a different angle of the same model but either way she looks much better.
Oh another thing..I am SO excited for this book...that description has me hooked and I cannot wait! (:

HI everyone! Today I am going to be posting a My Cast, this is where I will take a book and list what actors/actresses I would pick to play the leading characters if it were to be made into a movie. Why I picked them?
Annasophia Robb, is probably my first pick cause she is soooo naturally pretty and that's how I always picture meghan, oh and if your wondering why I did a pic of her on the beach it's cause it was the only natural pic of her I could find without alot of eye makeup and stuff on so ya (: you may know Annasophia Robb from Soul Surfer, The Race to Witch Mountain, Because of Winn Dixie, and The Bridge to Terabitha.
Taylor Swift..well I just absolutely love her and she is also sooo beautiful so that's why I picked her(:
For my Ash I also have two choices:
Adam Gregory
OR
Ben Barnes
Why I picked them?

SO I have been seeing a couple of my favorite blogs (Book Passion for Life) posting US vs UK, and I decided I deff wanna join in, cause I for one love discussing covers (: So how this works is I will post the US cover of a book and then post the UK cover of that same book then discuss pros/cons of each and pick a favorite(:
and here is the UK cover:
My Thoughts?
I honestly like both of them! Both very pretty in there own ways(:
I like the wings, BUT I dont like how it only shows a sliver of her face, and I dont like how it has the city (which I think the whole US series covers have it?) I also don't like the small print on it.
SO for this week I picked Misguided Angel
Here is the US cover:

Seventeen year-old Maggie Brown is truly the poster child for Heroin Chic, complete with her jutting bones and her dark-ringed eyes. She’s struggling with her growing feelings for the new guy at school, Seth Prescott, and fears he is just another person who will let her down, like everyone in her life has done thus far.
Seth Prescott is an undercover cop assigned to Port Fare High, and despite his job, he’s developed strong feelings for Maggie. Seth’s working tirelessly to flush out the sadistic heroin peddlers that have invaded the small town of Port Fare, New York, while Maggie fights to stay alive as the search turns deadly.
Seth and Maggie’s romantic journey is one of humor, heartbreak and self-discovery as their world is about to change forever.
Unlovable was a story that I don’t even know where to start with, it is incredible, amazing, perfect, super, and completely LOVABLE.
Maggie Brown has convinced herself she truly is unlovable, and why shouldn't she believe that, her always drunk mother reminds her of it every day. Of course there is Seth..Seth Mr.Popular at Port Fare High..but he couldn't possibly love Maggie..could he?
Seth Prescott is an undercover cop, his current job? Attend Port Fare High, and get close to Maggie and find out if her mom knows anything about the current drug rates going up in Port Fare, while trying to stop the murders also going on in Port Fare...Seth has had secret feelings for Maggie for a long time...and this job is finally gonna be the thing that forces him to talk to her.
This book was..WOW just amazing. It is so beautiful, I could not believe how good this story was, I went into it thinking it was just gonna be OK! It blew my mind! I started reading this one night and couldn’t stop..I had to stay up until I finished the whole thing..and once it ended all I wanted was for it to continue! Iwanted no NEEDED more of Maggie and Seth! There Romance is one of the best I have read ever !
Maggie as a character was great, she is so caring and so strong. Her mom emotionally abuses her almost every day and yet she still loves her and tries to care for her mother. You couldn’t help, but love Maggie. You also couldn’t help feeling sorry for the poor girl..the things her mother says..are some of the most hurtful things a mother could ever say to their child. Yet still Maggie stayed strong. She truly was an amazing chick! She has become one of my favorite Lit-Chicks for her awesomeness (:
NOW onto Seth..
Seth is perfect. He is handsome, mature, sweet, caring, and just well perfect He wants nothing more than for Maggie to open up to him and let him love her and take care of her, and throughout the whole book that is his main concern, caring for Maggie, protecting Maggie, and most importantly trying to convince Maggie he loves her.
(I LOVE SETH!!!!)
Unlovable was truly an amazing story, it had everything romance, action, mystery, thrill, everything. If you are looking for a strong story with beautiful romance then Unlovable is for you!
--Unlovable is mainly from Maggie's point of view, but every few chapters is from Seth's point of view (:
Unlovable is the first of a trilogy!
I also thought I would share some of my favorite quotes:
"The few times I'd Run into her in the hallway, my tongue had swollen to the size of a small whale, essentially blocking off oxygen supply to my brain"-Seth
"She makes you nervous, huh? Must be love. Puppy love anyway." "Shut up, Booker"-Seth and Booker
Scooping up the mail off the wobbly kitchen table, I thumbled through it while standing next to our trash bin. One was addressed to me: Maggie Brown, You may already be a $ 1,000,000 winner! "Goodie, my troubles are over" -Maggie
"Crying? What the heck was wrong with me? It must be PMS! I stayed a few steps behind him secretly drying my face and running through a calendar in my mind"-Maggie
"You know, I'm surprised the three of us can fit in your car"..."Three? I do believe there are only two of us."..."Me, you, and your over-sized ego. I believe that makes three." -Maggie and Seth
I whacked him on the arm. "hmm, did a butterfly just land on me?" He glanced around pretending to look for some nonexistant bu.- Maggie and Seth

October Breezes by: Maria Rachel Hooley

Available: Ebook, Paperback
Pages:272
1st in series
Skye Williams knows everything there is to know about mistrust: Dad skipped out when she was five. And now Warren Jacobs tries to sweep her Mom off her feet. But Warren's not the only concern rocking Skye's world. Devin Abbott, a guy she's known since kindergarten, has changed. He's become a tall, broad-shouldered guy she might date-if he wasn't her best friend. Skye swears there's nothing between them, but everyone else thinks differently. Devin doesn't act the way he used to, especially when Kellin Jacobs, senior quarterback, asks Skye out. Flattered, she accepts, and, Devin sulls up-and he isn't the only one. Kellin's best friend, Tyler Rutherford, gets bent out of shape, too, as he's always wanted Skye for himself. When Kellin and Skye attend one of Tyler's famous parties, neither senses the impending disaster that will change not only her life but also that of everyone who loves her.
October Breezes made me lose all my sleep last night..but was it worth it? Of course. October Breezes touches on some very..well touchy subjects. Now I would imagine for an author to write about these touchy subjects they would have to be much more careful with their writing and keep it tasteful..and can I just say that Maria Rachel Hooley does an amazing job at this? I could not put this book down! The story starts with Skye, Skye is a normal 16 yr old girl, but she has trust issues with men...and why shouldn’t she? Her father dipped out of her life when she was a child...he never even sees her now..and now she has her moms new boyfriend Warren trying to come into her and her moms life..saying he is different but Skye knows better..or does she? As if her moms boy troubles aren’t enough Skye's best guy friend Devin is starting to act very strange, ever since handsome quarterback Kellin asks Skye out..and she says yes. Devin doesn’t trust him and their friendship slowly falls apart....soon enough Skye will find out Devin and Kellin are the least of her worries..Kellins 'best friend' Tyler wants her too..and he's wanted her for awhile..and Devin nor Kellin are gonna stop him from getting what he wants.
This book was very beautifully and pleasantly written, I found myself drawn in by Skye, you couldn't help but feel sorry for her for all of her horrible events happening lately, you honestly just wish you could be there and give her a freaking hug, and punch all her enemies in the face. I loved all of the characters, they were all very well developed threw out the story, they all grew which was nice to see, Devin and Kellin and Jimmy I especially loved, they were so cute sounding and so sweet to Skye and just wanted to help her.
The ending to this book did not disappoint and I look forward to reading Summer Sunsets and hearing more about Skye and Devin's relationship threw Devin's eyes (:
-COMPLAINT: Skye in the beginning..is very rude..and obnoxious..and annoying..I am so glad she changed her attitude or I probably wouldn't wanna pickup the second one..I have already bought the second one (:
-PS: This book is REALLY cheap on Amazon Kindle! Great Price for an even greater book!!

My book Boyfriend is a weekly meme hosted by the unread reader (:
This week My Book Boyfriend is
*Drumroll*
Tamani! Tamani some of you may know from the Wings series..I know what your thinking..Haley what's up with you and these Fae men (last week MBB was Puck) well..I guess I just have a soft spot for fae men..what can I say (; I picked Tamani because..well basically the same reason I picked Puck, he is snarky, and funny, and sweet ((:
For my Tamani I picked:
Zac Efron! I normally am not a big Zacy fan, but Idk he to me does look like Tamani..and I cannot deny Zacy hottness.
Tamani Quotes:
(For my Tamani Quotes I will ONLY be doing his quotes from
Wings, because I have not read Spells or Illusions yet)
"So there's magic? Real magic? It's not just all scientific like David says?"
Tamani rolled his eyes. "David again?"
Laurel bristled. "He's my friend. My best friend."
"Not your boyfriend?"
"No. I mean...no."
Tamani stared at her for several seconds. "So the position's still open?"
Laurel rolled her eyes. "We are so not having this conversation."
Tamani rolled his eyes. "David again?"
Laurel bristled. "He's my friend. My best friend."
"Not your boyfriend?"
"No. I mean...no."
Tamani stared at her for several seconds. "So the position's still open?"
Laurel rolled her eyes. "We are so not having this conversation."
"It didn't matter to her that Tamani only had weak magic, he was magic."
"She started to turn, but before she could step away, Tamani grabbed her hand. Without breaking eye contact, he raised her hand to his face and brushed his lips over her knuckles."
"How do you... we... you know, faeries pollinate?"
"The male produces pollen on his hands and when two faeries decide to pollinate, the male reaches into the female's blossom and lets the pollen mix. It's a somewhat delicate process."
"Doesn't sound very romantic."
"There's nothing romantic about it at all." Tamani replied, a confident smile spreading across his face. "That's what sex is for."
"You still...?" She let the question hang.
"Sure."
"But faeries don't get pregnant?"
"Never." Tamani winked. "Pollination is for reproduction- sex is just for fun."

It’s all she’s ever wanted to be, but it couldn’t be further from her grasp…
Dana Hathaway doesn’t know it yet, but she’s in big trouble. When her alcoholic mom shows up at her voice recital drunk, again, Dana decides she’s had enough and runs away to find her mysterious father in Avalon: the only place on Earth where the regular, everyday world and the captivating, magical world of Faerie intersect. But from the moment Dana sets foot in Avalon, everything goes wrong, for it turns out she isn't just an ordinary teenage girl—she's a Faeriewalker, a rare individual who can travel between both worlds, and the only person who can bring magic into the human world and technology into Faerie.
Soon, Dana finds herself tangled up in a cutthroat game of Fae politics. Someone's trying to kill her, and everyone seems to want something from her, from her newfound friends and family to Ethan, the hot Fae guy Dana figures she’ll never have a chance with… until she does. Caught between two worlds, Dana isn’t sure where she’ll ever fit in and who can be trusted, not to mention if her world will ever be normal again…
Funny, quick, totally awesome read
Dana’s mother is a mess..she’s always drunk. So when Dana runs away to a mysterious father she’s never known in Avalon, the city between everyday earth and faerie world..she doesn’t expect anything that does happen to happen..she doesn’t expect to be kidnapped..she doesn’t expect to find out she’s a faeriewalker..a rare individual who can travel between both worlds, she doesn’t expect to have people wanting her dead, and she doesn’t expect to meet a hot fae boy named Ethan..as Dana gets lost in this crazy adventure she will learn how to trust, to forgive, and maybe even to love..maybe.
This was my first read of Jenna Black’s and can I just say it did not disappoint! Although Glimmerglass is a fae novel, don’t be fooled, it is not like all the other ones! Most fae books have the same storyline, but this one is quite different, which of course is oh so refreshing. Dana is a normal teenage girl, she likes to sing, she likes boys (a lot), and…her mom’s a drunk..okay so that part isn’t so normal. I found myself threw out the book being up and down with Dana, for the most part I liked her, she’s funny, she’s strong, but she is annoying at times..she has an obsession with boys…everytime there is a good looking guy she has to describe how they look and go all gaga eyes over it..and bring it up a few times..she did this for like 4 or 5 guys I think? And I mean don’t get me wrong I love me some pretty boys in books but really? Couldn’t there just be 2 pretty boys ? or 3? Or hell even 1?! Dana takes boy crazy to a whole new level.
Ethan is probably one of my least favorite men in a book, he is Dana’s number one man (out of the like 34234234 million) and to me it just feels like he is using her. I am sure plenty of people love him, I mean he is suppose to be gorgeous, strong and protective, but to me he is cocky, jealous, a player, and stupid? Ya that sounds about right.
Besides the characters immaturity, Glimmerglass really is a great start to a series. It has just the right amount of action, magic, love, family issues, and mystery. Jenna Black takes you into a whole new look at the fae world, you don’t wanna miss this read!

This is a post to thank my friend Donna over at Book Passion for Life (Follow them!! Their blog is amazing!) for helping me so much with putting together my first giveaway, answering all my annoying blogging questions, and most importantly just for being so awesome! I wouldn't have any clue how to put together the giveaway if it weren't for your help!

Who is this dark, mysterious, sympathetic guy, barely older than Emerson herself, who seems to believe every crazy word she says? Why does an electric charge seem to run through the room whenever he’s around? And why is he so insistent that he needs her help to prevent a death that never should have happened?
SO as a thank you Donna you will be receiving this in the mail soon:

Dreaming Awake by: Gwen Hayes
To Be Released: January 3rd 2012
Hmmm...idk how I feel about this cover...well lets start with the things I like- I love her dress..I love her hair..and I love the rose petals.
Now for what I dont like-I dont like the rock flower thing she is holding..I dont like her face, it doesnt look anything like Theia..this model they picked as too mature of features for Theia in my opnion, I also dont like how the G in Dreaming looks like its in a different font then the rest of it..
Description:
She fell for him in a nighttime world. But the time for dreaming is past—and the here-and-now can be just as fragile their love…
When Theia Alderson first encountered a mysterious, handsome boy in her dreams, she never imagined how finding Haden Black—and falling in love—could change her life. To save Haden, Theia sacrificed everything. And the dangerous bargain she made could have lasting repercussions.
Now Theia has returned to Serendipity Falls , and she finds herself struggling with the same deadly hungers that have tortured Haden. When students at their high school fall prey to a mysterious illness, Theia can’t help but wonder if Haden’s control is slipping—and how much longer she’ll have a grip on her own.
And still the nightmare realm of Under won’t let them go. Someone from Haden’s past is determined to destroy Theia from the inside out, starting with those closest to her, forcing Theia to choose between family and friends and a love that may have been doomed from the start…
-------------------------------------------------------------
Well I am kinda disappointed by this cover, but I will deff still read it!

"We make deals with the devil every day, metaphorically."
Generation Dead by: Daniel Waters
Published by: Hyperion (Disney)
Pages: 392
Generation Dead is not like most books, it takes on a paranormal that most books do not..zombies. No one can explain why this is happening..scientists, teachers, parents, no one knows how this started or why..but for whatever reason teenagers that die are somehow coming back to life..although these zombies/ differently biotic/ living impaired/undead/ etc are physically different looking with their very white skin, and mentally different as it takes them longer to speak and are slower with walking then living teenagers..they still try to live normal lives as everyone else, they go to school, they party, and they try out for the football team. With these zombies being so different then everyone else there are plenty (majority) of people that want them gone..dead for good…and the scary part? Zombies are a new type of living things..they don’t have rights..so to kill them or torture them is completely legal.
Phoebe is the goth girl at school, although she and her goth friend Margi are also looked at different with their black clothes she feels she almost might know how the zombies must feel. Phoebe is starting to have feelings for someone she is not yet ready to admit to the world about…it’s not Adam her star football player best friend who has secretly been in love with her for years..It’s not Pete who wants all the zombies dead dead ..it’s Tommy..and Tommy is dead…as their connection to one another grows stronger, Tommy and all the other undeads lives are put in even more danger….
Although I only gave this book a 2.5 star rating it is only because, when I went into reading this book I went into it thinking it was going to be a romance..but in reality it had very little romance…and right when things started to heat up and get good the book ended! My only complaint about this book besides the lack of romance was the characters..to me the majority of the characters had something that bugged me..Phoebe is annoying for how oblivious she is of Adams feeling for her, Margi is annoying in every single aspect of the word, Pete is a total tool, and Tommy is confusing and kinda creeps me out..the only characters I found myself really liking is Adam, Colette and Karen I got to say I did love the ending though, it had a nice twist which I did not expect to happen at all, leaving me wanting the next one insanely bad!
WAIT-another thing that bugged me about this book is the cover! It has nothing to do with the book! There isnt an undead cheerleader! URGH!
Generation Dead by: Daniel Waters
Published by: Hyperion (Disney)
Pages: 392
Phoebe Kendall is just your typical Goth girl with a crush. He’s strong and silent…and dead.
All over the country, a strange phenomenon is occurring. Some teenagers who die aren't staying dead. But when they come back to life, they are no longer the same. Feared and misunderstood, they are doing their best to blend into a society that doesn’t want them.
The administration at Oakvale High attempts to be more welcoming of the “differently biotic." But the students don’t want to take classes or eat in the cafeteria next to someone who isn’t breathing. And there are no laws that exist to protect the “living impaired” from the people who want them to disappear—for good.
When Phoebe falls for Tommy Williams, the leader of the dead kids, no one can believe it; not her best friend, Margi, and especially not her neighbor, Adam, the star of the football team. Adam has feelings for Phoebe that run much deeper than just friendship; he would do anything for her. But what if protecting Tommy is the one thing that would make her happy?

The Iron King by Julie Kagawa
THIS IS THE BACK OF THE BOOK, GO HERE TO SEE FRONT COVER AND DESCRIPTION
Haley's Thoughts:..........WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?!?!?!?!!?!?!? WHO IS THAT?!?!?! Idk who that guy up there thinks he is, but he is NOT Puck. I am so so disappointed right now ): Honestly if THATS what Puck looks like...then I dont blame Meghan for wanting Ash...Ash was hot on the cover...Puck should be at least cute...that guy up there is just...well creepy :/ what's up with his really small eyes? GRR...I am Team Puck and this back cover reveal honestly has ruined my whole day....Ok I think I am done ranting for now...
........
.......
NEVERMIND NO I AM NOT! That guy up there looks nothing like Puck should look like! I kinda wish now that they wouldn't had put Puck on here at all...if I had known they were gonna make him look all creepy..I just wanna kick someone right now over this back cover -_-
Puck should look like this:

Whose with me on this one? I mean this guy above is cute and hot and has Puck written allllll over that beautiful face of his. *HUGE SIGH*
Oh well....I could probably go on for days about how mad I am about their Puck choice....but I guess I will just have to live with it ):
So what do you guys think of this 'Puck' ??
