Haunted by an animal attack, seventeen year old Charlotte feels she is being followed. When she runs into a mysterious boy while camping, she’s afraid. Nothing seems right about him. Despite trying to stay away, there is an unmistakable draw to be near him. Even his scent smells familiar. But the closer she gets, the faster the secrets begin to unravel. Not only is he not human, he may have a link to her past. When Charlotte finds out someone wants her dead, she is torn between love and fear. Can she trust him to keep her safe?

“Maybe you shouldn’t kiss me,” I whispered. “I’d rather die.”  My chest swelled and every wall in me crumbled.

I have not read a book in one sitting for along (long long long) time. I am so beyond happy to say that Caged Moon was amazing, and guess what? I read it in one sitting, this book had me by the throat and would not let me go until I finished it!

Caged Moon follows Charlotte, when Charlotte was little she was attacked by an animal. Ever since then things haven’t been normal for her. Now that she is older she feels different, like she doesn’t belong or fit in with other girls and boys her age. On top of that she has wolves following her, at least she is pretty sure they are. Charlotte thinks she is losing her mind about these wolves, but when she meets a mysterious boy named Liam in the woods, everything slowly starts to make sense.  Liam is helping her find out about herself..but what happens when the one helping you, may be the one after you…

This read blew me away!  I love werewolf stories, but sadly out of all the werewolf novels I have read I have only found TWO series I like! I am so happy that I now have THREE! Caged Moon was a breath taking story of love, suspense, mystery, action, and finding one’s self.

There were two things I loved about this story most, first off I loved the characters. Characters are a huge deal to me in books, if I can’t connect with the characters or I don’t like the characters then the story is going to be a completely dud for me no matter how great everything else is. Caged Moon had some great characters! Charlotte I felt was really likeable, I felt sorry for how she felt so out of place around other people, but then when she met Ty, Liam and his friends I was jumping with joy that she found some friends that made her feel normal!  Liam who is the lover boy of this book was amazing!!! He is deff one of my new lit crushes, I loved his snarky yet sweet and cocky personality!  Ty who is Charlotte’s best friend was also awesome, I loved how she was so understanding of Charlotte and really just wanted what was best for her. Besides Liam and Charlotte though, one of my favorite characters was Byron, I thought he was hilarious! All together I think Rachel put together some amazing characters, I’m not sure if Caged Moon is a series or not, but if it is I cannot wait to see more of these guys in book two!

The second thing I loved was the unique-ness of the story. Sadly I can’t really go into detail about this because it will give away the whole mystery part of the story, and I for one will not ruin such an awesome factor for you guys if you plan to pick it up! (which you totally should). Let me just say that most werewolf stories are the same concept, and that Caged Moon had a different fresh new take that was amazing.

Now I feel bad that this review is more of a ‘fan girl’ review, but honestly I am still just  so excited that I finally found another book that was able to practically force me to keep reading it until I finished it. Caged Moon was a delightful read from beginning to end, and left me crossing my fingers hoping that this will be a series!

This sounds like a really great book. Werewolf stories and a toss up for me too, but it seems like this one is really great. Awesome review!
