This book I think I originally had at 5 stars...then moved it down to 4...and now I have moved it down to 3. The more I think about My Favorite Mistake the more I want to rip out my hair at the thought of Taylor our main character..

Title: My Favorite Mistake by Chelsea M. Camerom
Series: Standalone
Available formats: Ebook/Paperback
Details: Published September 29th 2012
Source: Bought
Rating:

Taylor Caldwell can't decide if she wants to kiss her new college roommate or punch him.

On the one hand, Hunter Zaccadelli is a handsome, blue-eyed bundle of charm. On the other, he's a tattooed, guitar-playing bundle of bad boy. Maybe that's why Taylor's afraid of falling in love with him, or anyone else. She doesn't want to get burned, and even though her other roommates adore him, she wants him gone before it's too late.

Hunter himself has been been burned before, but the fact that Taylor calls him out on his crap and has the sexiest laugh ever make him decide maybe love isn't a lost cause. They make a bet: if she can convince him she truly loves or hates him, he'll leave the apartment--and leave her alone. The problem is, the more time they spend together, the less she hates him, and the more she moves toward love.

But when the man who holds the key to Taylor's fear of giving up her heart resurfaces and threatens to wreck everything, she has to decide: trust Hunter with her greatest secret, or do everything in her power to win that bet and drive him away forever.

...if you can prove to me that you love me, abousltley love me, I'll leave." For the first time his face was serious. "Are you Fucking kidding me? I would never, ever love a guy like you."

GAH I have done it once again....sometimes I read a book and when I finish it I just think "OMG THAT WAS SO GOOD WOOOOOO!!!:D"

But then, time goes by..and I get to thinking. This book I think I originally had at 5 stars...then moved it down to 4...and now I have moved it down to 3. The more I think about My Favorite Mistake the more I want to rip out my hair at the thought of Taylor our main character..

I loved everything about this book besides Taylor and her ridicules behavior. Basically how this book goes is Taylor's school sets Hunter has one of her roommates...Taylor flips out...on Hunter. Cause you know it is TOTALLY his fault that the school assigned him as her roommate....

did I mention Taylor punches Hunter in the face the first day she meets him? YA IN THE FACE cause he makes a joke towards her that she didn't like..

Now this wouldn't bother me if Taylor wasn't a GROWN ASS WOMAN that goes to COLLEGE and is suppose to be I think smart, but she is! I mean...does she not realize Hunter could have called the cops on her or idk seriously HURT her?? For being a smart woman she sure doesn't think before she acts. She punched him in the face over a stupid joke. I mean I guess she could have said he was 'sexually harassing her' but really she was so immature over the whole thing. She completely took it out on Hunter that he was put in her house, when it wasn't at all his fault.

For the most part I guess it just bothers me how immature and stupid Taylor is in the beginning. She freaks out on Hunter and throws a fit as if it's his fault when it's nothing he can control..and she knows it. She did grow on me after the beginning and she chilled out some...but through out the whole novel I still found her to be very selfish. ugh I'll just stop myself now, Taylor rant over.

Moving on from the obnoxious Taylor, Hunter was amazing!! How he was able to even be somewhat civil to Taylor after everything she did when they met is beyond me, but overall I guess him being able to put up with her bull shit is what made me like him even more. He saw Taylor was just putting up a wall, and he wanted to know what was behind that wall.

Overall though I did enjoy My Favorite Mistake, Hunter is perfect, the sexual tension between him and Taylor is amazing, and the banter between the two of them is hilarious. This book kept my attention, I read it in one sitting, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good contemporary romance.

That happens to me all the time! I'll think I loved a book SO much, but then the more I think about it... certain things start to bother me... But I'm glad that Hunter was such a great guy. I hadn't heard of this book until now, but I'll definitely need to look into it now.

Great review! PS: I love the GIF you used. (:
