The six years following the abrupt death of her father were
the worst of Calista Bishoff's life. Frightened by her own mortality, Callie’s
mom threw herself into a search for the Fountain of Youth—and dragged Callie
along with her.
Callie should have loved traveling, but instead she hated every minute. When one more failed search sends her mother into depression, they finally return home to California. Sixteen-year-old Callie is ready to hang with her friends and be normal for as long as she can.
But, an unplanned trip to Bermuda with her grandmother throws Callie’s plans awry, and there’s more in store for Callie and her mom than just a simple beach vacation. Callie’s life is turned inside out as she finds herself in a very different world than the one she knows—
Where things exist that she never dreamed were real.

Where things exist that she never dreamed were real.
"I love you," he repeated, leaning to press his forehead to hers. "Don't leave me. Stay here. In Aionia."
As a YA book blogger I meet a lot of awesome authors, and
one of my favorites hands down is Julia Crane the author of the Keegan’s
Chronicles. So when I was contacted to be a part of a blog tour for Eternal
Youth a book which Julia Crane and author Nolia McCarty wrote together, I was
all for it! Although Eternal Youth was very different compared to Julia’s other
works, it was still a very enjoyable read!
Eternal Youth follows Callie, Callie is sick of having to
follow her mom up volcano’s and travel all over the world to places she can’t
pronounce, all in search of the fountain of youth. She is sure her mom is
losing her mind, but when a supposed to be normal vacation to Bermuda goes
wrong she lands in Aionia a magical island where there is no electricity and no
way home..a place where nothing is as it seems. Callie will meet some new friends.
Maybe even fall in love, but what happens when she finds a way to get back
home? Will she leave everyone she has learned to love in Aionoia…or will she
stay there forever.
This was a great read, right in the beginning you are thrown
into Callie’s life marching up the side of a volcano with her ‘crazy’ mother, I
absolutely loved hearing about the scenery of the jungles and amazons she has
been to. I will admit the beginning of Eternal Youth was a little slow, but
once you got about half way through it really really picks up, and even though
the beginning was slow it was still nice to read, Julia and Nolia’s writing flowed
very nicely and I easily read Eternal Youth in one day!
My favorite part of Eternal Youth was Aionia, at first I
couldn’t imagine being trapped on a small island where there is no electricity.
But the more I learned about Aionia and the people that lived there and heard
about it threw Callie’s eyes the more the place seemed peaceful, and beautiful. I would’ve loved to learn more about Aionia
and how it became there, everything about Aionia was very enchanting.
Although Aionia was my favorite part of Eternal Youth, I
also very much loved the characters. Each character was very different than the
next, but still all very lovable. My favorites were Alaric and Braden. Alaric
was just flat out dreamy and so wonderful to Callie, and did I mention this guy
is hot? I adored their relationship, it was nice to see Callie so open to him
and loving, but still kept her spunky-ness! Braden is Callie’s cousin, but he
might as well be her brother! I LOVED Braden, I was completely jealous of
Callie to have such a caring cousin. Since Braden had basically grown up with
Callie he knew her almost as much as Callie knew herself, he knew when she was
upset and mad and would help her threw her problems. Their friendship was very
touching.
Altogether Eternal Youth ended up a great read that I could
not put down! If you’re looking for a light read that will take you to a
beautiful world, with lovable character, than Eternal Youth is a novel for you!
On a side note-Eternal Youth is currently a standalone
novel, and I think it does great at being a standalone and ending with the
reader being able to have their own imagination on what happened next for
Callie, but it could also easily be made into a series and be continued!
3.5 Stars (:

Tormented by a repressed past, Liam is faced with the responsibility of raising, and taking care of a pack of younger, obnoxious ‘pups’. He’d do anything for them; guilt from prior mistakes, driving him to protect them at any cost. Until a strange human girl, bearing the scent of a wolf, throws his world into chaos. Instinct says she’s his mate. Logic says she’s a danger to the pack. Curiosity can’t keep him away.
Revisit the YA Paranormal Romance, Caged Moon, through an all new perspective.

SOOO what do you guys think of the new cover?!?! I LOVE it! Although I loved the old cover, I still like this one a lot more, I feel it looks very professional, and even though it is pretty simple the little details like the font and blue background make this cover really POP! And don't even get me started on Corinne....look how beautiful she is! I must admit that the girl on this cover reminds me of Corinne much more than the old Pyxis cover.
Now are you ready to see the cover for book two Alight?!?!
Your wish is my command! :D
When Corinne learns who the second Guardian is, she must find a way to make peace with the last person in the world she wants to deal with. As she struggles, her nemesis unleashes an otherworldly evil, and a mysterious illness strikes Corinne’s friends. Faltering under the weight of her destiny, Corinne escapes to the dream world. There, she meets Zane, an Australian guy with a hot accent and a revelation that binds them together and alters the path of Corinne’s life. She throws herself into fighting for everything she loves, but just as she’s certain she will prevail, she’s robbed of what she needs most.
Wow, I freakin LOVE this cover, again Corinnne look beautiful, I love the font, I love the green background! Oh and idk who is this Zane guy is, but I like what I am seeing on the cover! I cannot wait for this book to come out! Overall I must say I am totally in love with these covers, they are absolutely breathtaking!

- This week my Dusty Read is......Forget You by Jennifer Echols!!
Forget you by Jennifer Echols
Published by MTV Books
Pages: 292
There’s a lot Zoey would like to forget. Like how her father has knocked up his twenty-four- year old girlfriend. Like Zoey’s fear that the whole town will find out about her mom’s nervous breakdown. Like darkly handsome bad boy Doug taunting her at school. Feeling like her life is about to become a complete mess, Zoey fights back the only way she knows how, using her famous attention to detail to make sure she’s the perfect daughter, the perfect student, and the perfect girlfriend to ultra-popular football player Brandon.
But then Zoey is in a car crash, and the next day there’s one thing she can’t remember at all—the entire night before. Did she go parking with Brandon, like she planned? And if so, why does it seem like Brandon is avoiding her? And why is Doug—of all people— suddenly acting as if something significant happened between the two of them?
Zoey dimly remembers Doug pulling her from the wreck, but he keeps referring to what happened that night as if it was more, and it terrifies Zoey to admit how much is a blank to her.
Controlled, meticulous Zoey is quickly losing her grip on the all-important details of her life—a life that seems strangely empty of Brandon, and strangely full of Doug.

AHHH I NEED to read this!!! I absolutely adored Jennifer Echols Going too Far, and I have heard from a few people that this was even better than Going too Far!! It sounds amazing! The only thing is I feel it will have some really sad parts...which in contemporary novels is always sadder because it is more realistic. But one of these days I will pick it up! (: It has been eyeing me the past few weeks! (:

Gorgeous, mysterious Alex knows more about Willow than Willow herself. He knows that her powers link to dark and dangerous forces, and that he’s one of the few humans left who can fight them. Girl I’ve
loved, girl I’m falling for. Now that they’re both in view, the problem is
clear.
After losing Sarah, the friend he’s loved, to some other guy, Jameson meets Sky. Her Native American roots, fluid movements, and need for brutal honesty become addictive fast. This is good. Jameson needs distraction – his dad leaves for another woman, his mom’s walking around like a zombie, and Sarah’s new boyfriend can’t keep his hands off of her.
As he spends time with Sky and learns about her village, her totems, and her friends with drums - she's way more than distraction. Jameson's falling for her fast.
But Sky’s need for honesty somehow doesn’t extend to her life story – and Jameson just may need more than his new girl to keep him distracted from the disaster of his senior year.

“Like I’m flying through the night sky because I have no idea what the hell I’m doing, but I can’t get enough of you.”~Jameson (Jay)
Wow, Night
Sky by Jolene B. Perry has stolen my heart! This book was an incredible story
of love, lost, struggle, and life.
Night Sky is
through the eyes of Jameson (Jay). Jameson has been in love with his best
friend Sarah for years. And now that Sarah is with probably the biggest jerk in
school, Jay has had enough. As he struggles to get over his broken heart he
meets Sky, she is completely the opposite of Sarah, Sky tells Jay what she
thinks, and is completely honest with him…the more time he spends with Sky the
more he realizes maybe Sarah was never the girl he thought she was…but as Jay
falls more and more for Sky, he can’t help, but feel she is keeping something
from him..something big.
Night Sky was
such a refreshing read from beginning to end, I have been reading so many
paranormal/dystopian novels that to pick up a contemporary novel that kept my
attention as much as Night Sky did was incredible. I adored this novel, I am
not one that reads contemporary novels often, for me contemporary novels have
to be amazing for me to enjoy them as much as a paranormal/or dystopian novel,
and Night Sky was just that AMAZING, Jolene has put together a beautiful and
heart breaking novel of love that I could not get enough of.
My favorite
part of Night Sky hands down was Sky. She was so unique, I loved how brutally
honest she would be to Jay and how understanding she was. She knew Jay was
still confused about his feelings for Sarah, and instead of being whiney and
all depressed like most girls in YA books would be she just gave him his time
and was understanding. Not once did she ever throw a fit. I also loved hearing
about her Native American roots, I love Native American culture, and after
reading Night Sky that has a girl that is Native American, it made me realize
how much I wish more YA books would use other heritages in their novels. Most
YA novels don’t go outside of American culture, and it really is a shame.
Another part
of Night Sky I loved was the writing, I devoured Night Sky! Jolene’s writing
was absolutely astonishing! I started Night Sky Wednesday night and kept
reading until I finished it really early Thursday morning, I could not put it
down! When I finished Night Sky I couldn’t believe I had been sitting there for
hours without even noticing, Jolene’s writing flowed so nicely I didn’t even
notice I was flowing straight through the whole book. I normally would have to
force myself to finish a book in one sitting, but yet with Night Sky I did it
without even a pause or realizing I was flowing straight threw!
If you’re
looking for a novel that you won’t be able to put down, has unique characters
and is a marvelous story of love and struggle, then Night Sky is a novel you
must pick and enjoy!

OMG I LOVE THIS COVER!!! I love how it has 'Alice in Wonderland' look to it with her dress, and how she looks like she is either lost in the woods or looking up the whole she just fell into. Also I LOVE the "Off with their heads" quote on the bottom! AND this cover is going to be in hardback I think, which will be totally beautiful! I love hardback books (: This cover is just tons of awesome! I REALLY wish they had a longer blurb for it, I wanna know more!!!!!! Can't wait for September (:

For as long
as she can remember, 17-year-old Alexis Forbes can hear the thoughts of others.
Most recently, she is disturbed by the dark, unfamiliar voice of a frightening
killer: callous, cunning, charismatic…and dead.
She hears his every sinister thought. But she can’t tell anyone. No one would believe her. Alexis is suddenly being haunted by a terrifying past she doesn’t remember, and a ghost with a serious score to settle. Even Chance, the gorgeous new guy she’s falling for, has his own ghostly secret. He’s definitely not like any guy she’s ever met. Alexis soon discovers she has a connection to the dead and it runs much deeper than she could ever imagine. And if the sociopathic entity has his way, she’ll finally be sentenced to the fate she escaped thirteen years ago.

He removed his hand from mine, pushed my hair behind my ear, and leaned in to kiss my forehead.. “I’d do anything for you.”
Whispering
Hills by Taryn Browning had me on such a roller coaster, every time I thought I
knew what was going to happen next, Taryn would completely surprise me and
throw in an amazingly awesome twist to the story! This story had me on the edge
of my seat from the very first page, till the very last and then left me dying
to know what will happen next in book two.
Now there
were multiple things I loved about Whispering Hills, but first I must start
with what really made me love this story, that was the suspense of this novel,
and the fact that it kept me guessing and on the edge of my seat throughout the
whole book. I will be the first to admit there is a large number of YA novels
that are predictable, normally right from the beginning you can tell where the
story is going to go. This doesn’t make the story bad by any means, but when I
find a book the does the complete opposite…I know I have found a winning book.
When I
started Whispering Hills I made some mental guesses about where the story was
going to go, and this is one of the few times I was completely wrong almost
every time. This novel is suspense at its best, Taryn is an amazing writer for
being able to make ever surprise…a serious surprise! Each time I would find a
new piece to the puzzle of what was going on, I was shocked about the new
information and dying to know where it was going to lead the characters.
There were
two other things I loved a lot about Whispering Hills, one being how this
paranormal was so different, and two being the characters. The paranormal that
Whispering Hills revolves around is ghosts, but this ghost novel was nothing
like the other ones I have read, it had a whole new twist that involves what
happens when you change fate, I don’t want to give too much away, so let’s just
say it is intense!
Then the
characters, I loved them all! Chance was so caring, Gabriel was terrifying, but
I still kinda liked him for some weird reason. Alexis our main girl was
awesome, she was so caring of her friends and family and even though a lot of
times she was scared she would still suck it up for the ones she would love. My
favorite character though was Summer hands down! She was so different compared
to most characters, she was so edgy yet still deep down you knew she was
actually a really caring person! The characters were all so refreshing!
Over all
Whispering Hills was my first Taryn Brown novel and it did not disappoint! If you’re looking for a YA novel that is non-predictable,
has an awesome paranormal romance, and
keeps you on the edge of your seat then Whispering Hills is a must read for
you! It leaves you with a chilling ending that will have you dying for book
two!
