She becomes a revenant - not quite human, not quite vampire.
With the help of an eccentric old Professor, his seven adoptive sons, and her best friend, Snow learns to control her blood craving. Sort of. She drinks a bloodlust tea, but she'd rather drink from her Hunter.
Or, a human.
She also discovers a whole other realm, one filled with fairies, dragons, and magic. And not only does the Vampire Queen want her, but there's a pendant called the Seal of Gabriel created for Snow by the Vampire Queen's twin sister. And Snow's supposed to use it to restore balance to all magical creatures. Including vampires.
Well, that was quite the story! This book had a little bit of everything and more, if your a fan of romance, or paranormal, or fantasy, or action, or adventure or magic OR a story that has all of that combined, than Blood and Snow may be something you would want to pick up!
Starting off with the characters, I really enjoyed them! There was a few characters I felt I didn't get to know as much as I would have liked, but for the most part each character I felt you really get to know. My favorite character, was Snow, who is our main character, she was strong, but knew when to show she was afraid. She was to me an easy character to like.
Romance was a huge factor in the Blood and Snow series, if you're someone that likes love triangles, then this is a book for you, if you are someone that does not like love triangles (or love squares,etc lol) than you may want to consider passing on Blood and Snow (I think you should give it a try though first!)Snow was a very confused girl and had feelings for multiple guys, I don't blame her though, when you're young, and also going threw being a blood lusting vampire I understood her constant feelings changing. Just know, if you are going to read Blood and Snow, there are multiple swoon worthy guys! ( you've been warned (; )
Besides the romance, and the characters this series was just..well awesome! There were so many different things put into the Blood and Snow series, that never once did I feel bored while reading, something exciting was always happening, or if something exciting wasn't happening than we would be learning about something exciting! Every part in this series really keeps your attention, and on the edge of your seat wondering what was going on and what was going to happen next with Snow and the other characters. On top of this series being exciting, it also had surprises, while I did predict alot of things that happened, there was still ALOT of things that would come out of no where and just leave me sitting in my chair wondering wth just happened and where did that come from.
Overall I really enjoyed this series, and if you're someone looking for a book that is really different, but still has things you love such as vampires, magic etc, than I really thing you should give Blood and Snow a go!
-One thing I will add as a side note, is that I would recommend this for older teens, while Snow may be 15 in the beginning of this series,she is well...quite aroused for being so young. Now this I know in the story has to do with the changing into a vampire, but still it is something to keep in mind if you are a younger reader, or a parent looking for a book for your kid. (:
