Serves me right for not reading any reviews before buying and reading this book. I normally read reviews before I buy a book, but Raw I bought on a whim. Big. Mistake. Going into this book I thought it would be an intense psychological read about a girl who falls in love with her stalker, something similar to the stockholm syndrome books I have read in the past, something that would take some studying before an author could write it, something that would totally blow my mind, something that would be interesting.

What did I get though instead? A novel about a weak, idiotic woman, that for whatever reason has the hots for a guy that is very obviously a bad guy. The sex scenes were terrible, every friendship and relationship felt very awkward, fake, and very forced by the author. Nothing felt natural in this novel. I really disliked 50 Shades and I have to say, I disliked Raw WAY more than 50.

Now lets talk about what my main problem of this novel was, and that was Lexi. Lexi is referred to as a strong character through out the novel, How the hell is she a strong character? She was easily manipulated throughout Raw, she submitted to Twitch constantly with barely any protest, Twitch and her would be having sex, she would tell him to stop and he wouldn't then she would just give in and 'enjoy' it, wtf is up with all these novels praising woman being disrespected and literally being treated like a dog? Lexi has to be one of the most pathetic characters I have ever read! She was idiotic, awkward, oh and she was very judgmental of other woman too, which to me is a big NO NO, you can't be sleeping with some guy that is STALKING you Lexi and then get the right to judge other woman. Also don't even get me started on how she thinks she is falling in love with Twitch when she literally knows NOTHING about him besides the fact that he's a stalker, drug dealer, rich, handsome, and a sociopath.



Ugh I could go on, but I feel since I didn't finish the novel I should stop now. With that I will leave you with a quick pro/cons list for Raw.

Now mind you I'm in the very tiny percentage of people that did not like Raw, so if it sounds like something you would enjoy, totally still pick it up!! Fans of 50 Shades may enjoy this.
